    Dear Mike:

A note to get you know that your crew, led by Jason, did an exemparly move for us. From the moment they arrived, until everyhing was unloaded they treated our furntiure and other belongings as if they were as important to them as to us. They were highly professional, personable, and worked together like a well oiled machine.

Jim and I have moved 4 times in 11 years and this was by far the best...

Start Your Local Move

At Heritage Moving & Storage Inc., we have a strong history of high standards and excellence in local moving. Since 1993 we have been moving families in Roanoke, Smith Mountain Lake, Salem, Blacksburg, Botetourt County, Vinton, and all of Southwest Virginia.

If you are considering hiring a moving company for your local move, we would love to talk with you!

When you call us, we will help you determine if we are the right company for your specific moving needs. During the phone call, we will ask a series of questions to find out if we can price your move over the phone. Generally we can provide an accurate price over the phone if you have about three or four rooms of furniture. This usually includes one- or two-bedroom apartments or divorce situations where only a few rooms of furniture are being moved out of the home.

If your local move will include more than three or four rooms of furniture, we will schedule a time to do a walk-through in your home. The walk-through lasts about 20 to 30 minutes, and it allows us to get a visual of the contents of the home and to evaluate the logistics of moving out of the house. We pay special attention to the size and number of areas, indoors and outdoors. (Many people forget to include outdoor patio areas, sheds, garages, and basement storage when estimating their number of rooms.)

The walk-through will help us determine the number of men and trucks needed for your move, and from there we can determine an accurate price.

Give us a call today, and let our family move your family!
